"Who is the one in my ear listening to my voice? Who is the one in my mouth saying my words? Who gives sight to my eyes and who is, after all, the soul whose clothes I am?"
Rumi (1207-1273)
Theme of the video is zikr (dhikr), a mystical dervish ritual of repetition of words and cadences of God's names until a trance sets in which leads to higher Âťstages of cognitionÂŤ and Âťstations of the soulÂŤ. Scenes pregnant with the energy of the authentic rituals carried out by dervishes, Gypsies from Skopje, are submerged in a multitude of highly stylized pictures, indicating an apparently entirely different path towards spiritual satisfaction.
